MultiTech is looking for a Cost Analyst to join our teamMain Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a thorough, accurate and complete record of actual and expected product cost.
  2. Execute monthly cost rollup in ERP system and highlight reasons for cost changes.
  3. Prepare cost estimates of products not yet included in ERP.
  4. Solicit and negotiate quotes for manufacturing subcontract services for custom products.
  5. Analyze and compare cost differences for alternative manufacturing options. Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost improvements (without compromising quality).
  6. Ensure historical record of manufacturing subcontract costs center and accounts are correct.
  7. Track, report out and interpret costing trends to help leadership understand business impact and plan accordingly.
  8. Maintain history of pricing, terms and similar commercial information submitted to customers.
  9. Prepare and analyze monthly cost variance and inventory reports.
  10. Respond to commercial requests from customers (new and existing, updating pricing).
  11. Ensure that ERP customer price tables are updated and complete.
  12. Establish and maintain good relationships throughout, with other team members and with key external partners such as customers and subcontract manufacturers.
Secondary Duties:
  1. Research goods & services; quality, specifications, price, availability, delivery, freight.
  2. Facilitate accurate and effective communications between purchase requestor and vendor, to ensure expectations and requirements are fulfilled.
  3. Keep a record of sustainability information supplied from vendors and to customers.
  4. Produce & analyze cost variance reports.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, or other applicable field; equivalent applicable experience considered.
  2. 2-5 years of work experience in operations and/or production cost analysis in a manufacturing environment required; technology manufacturing experience preferred.
  3. Organized, methodical and thorough in compiling and analyzing data, and in maintaining records.
  4. Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Vietnamese, Chinese or Japanese language skills would be an asset.
  6. Strong understanding of manufacturing costs and cost accounting.
  7. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel).
  8. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, and a habit of meeting deadlines. Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  9. Ability to work with multiple business functions.
