Lethbridge, Canada Alberta Health Services Full time

Alberta Health Services, South Zone is currently recruiting for a full-time Cardiologist for the Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH).

The successful candidate will:

  1. Establish and maintain a full-time Cardiology practice in the community of Lethbridge;
  2. Provide inpatient consultations (including ICU);
  3. Provide on-call support as per AHS's on-call schedules;
  4. Participate within the established Heart Function Clinic, Cardiac Device Clinic, and Cardiac Rehabilitation Program;
  5. Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the services;
  6. Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives.

The successful candidate must:

  1. Have or be eligible for FRCPC or equivalent, with a Fellowship in Cardiology;
  2. Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

  6. Community Info: CRH is the largest community hospital located in Southern Alberta providing services to Lethbridge and surrounding rural areas with a catchment population of ~150,000. Lethbridge is a vibrant city of just over 100,000 located in beautiful southern Alberta - close to the mountains (about 70 miles from Waterton National Park and the Rockies) and an easy drive to Calgary.
