Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiologist to join our team at Alberta Health Services, South Zone. As a Cardiologist, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a full-time Cardiology practice in the community of Lethbridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and Maintain a Cardiology Practice: Provide high-quality patient care, diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases, and develop treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Provide Inpatient Consultations: Offer expert advice and care to patients in the ICU and other hospital settings.
  3. Participate in Quality Improvement Programs: Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient care, reducing wait times, and enhancing the overall quality of our services.
  4. Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Medical Knowledge: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Certification: Have or be eligible for FRCPC or equivalent, with a Fellowship in Cardiology.
  2. Licensure: Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
