Your Role and Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing solutions to solve a business problem, including but not limited to installation, configuration, integration, and implementation of projects for the Data and AI IBM product portfolio tailored to specific client requirements. Responsibilities also include participating in requirements gathering and design sessions with clients, analyzing existing processes, and converting business needs into technical designs.

This role requires a deep understanding of business challenges across various industries and the ability to provide effective solutions using relevant products. A Solution Architect must stay informed about industry trends, market directions, and stakeholder needs, leveraging their expertise in IBM products to design, develop, and customize solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. Direct experience in the following products and technologies: watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, watsonx.governance, Watson Assistant, Watson Discovery, LLM, AI; products from the Data Fabric portfolio.
  2. Proficient with capacity planning, scalability, performance, and load testing concepts.
  3. Strong knowledge of integration and commonly used patterns, able to apply such knowledge in solution design.
  4. Experience or strong knowledge of SaaS, Hybrid Cloud, Linux/Unix/Windows.
  5. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. Experience working with IBM complementary products: IBM Cloud Packs, Watsonx, Business Analytics, Data Sources, and ETL.
  2. Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and deploying container applications.
  3. Knowledge of Cloud technologies.
  4. Strong experience working with senior IT and non-IT executives.
  5. Demonstrated experience in multi-shore management, teamwork, and execution.

Location Statement: Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
