What we’ll love about you:

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university; working toward Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an asset

· Strong business acumen and understanding of the construction industry, including construction methods, materials, and legal regulations

· Exposure to key principles involved in project pursuits and bid preparation, including technical submissions, quantity take off procedures, procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures

· Experience in modelling structures and advanced structural software skills - Revit, 3D modeling, coding, AutoCAD, SAP 2000

· Demonstrated history of technical presentations and technical writing

· Strong attention to detail and produce error-free, high-quality output

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

· Committed to client service and technical excellence

· Other qualifications may be required

What you’ll work on:

Within a team of engineers, project managers, and estimators, the Pursuits Coordinator provides engineering services for a range of design build project pursuits, including design, technical documentation, cost estimates, and tender submissions. This position provides a unique opportunity to design using Steelcon’s proprietary SIN Beam.

· Review and evaluate design build project opportunities to create solutions and develop value engineering strategies while complying with client requirements to achieve the ultimate goal of securing winning bids

· Prepare preliminary designs for design build projects, including detailed scope lists and assumptions for secondary components that will be required to complete the remainder of the design

· Support estimators in the completion of final cost estimates for the final submission, ensuring a high quality, technically efficient, and cost-effective project solution

· Support the coordination of design completion upon project award

· Pursue, build, and maintain strong relationships in the industry to enable effective communication/ties to the local market

· Actively participate in industry trade associations and strategic industry activities for lead generation and visibility of the company
