Consultant, Forensics and Litigation Support

Make an impact with our Forensics & Litigation Support team as a Consultant. This diverse team of professionals combines accounting and investigative expertise to protect clients’ assets and reputation. As a trusted advisor, you’ll implement anti-fraud controls and resolve fraud emergencies, reducing clients’ exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.

Responsibilities

  1. Execute client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support, risk assessments and other specialized proceedings or regulatory inquiries for a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes.
  2. Calculate and analyze economic loss claims, provide commercial advice, prepare financials and trace funds/accounts.
  3. Analyze financial data and participate in the development of independent expert financial reports and financial models.
  4. Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders.
  5. Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, proposals and other high-quality deliverables.
  6. Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop.
  7. Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
  8. Work collaboratively with the client engagement team.
  9. Begin the CFF program within 2 years of joining the firm.
  10. Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  2. Completion of, or working towards, a CPA.
  3. CFE designation, or plan to obtain the designation within 2 years.
  4. 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience; advisory or consulting experience is considered an asset.
  5. Ability to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada Contract Security Program.
  6. Experience in advanced Excel and/or databases is an asset.
