Town of Essex, Canada Linxus Group Full time

Linxus Group is seeking a Director of Finance to lead and enhance our clients' accounting departments.

Requirements:

  • CPA Designation or equivalent
  • Experience in financial management and reporting
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, GAAP, and investment capital analysis
  • Excellent technical, organizational, management, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial records for related companies, including US-based entities
  • Utilize financial/accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced Excel reporting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Prepare budgets, cash flow projections, bank reports, journal entries, monthly financial reports, and year-end working papers
  • Oversee accounting team workflow
  • Review AP & AR aging, monitor expenditures, costs, and P&L
  • Analyze and report on financial data and performance
  • Prepare T4s, T4 summaries, 1099s, WSIB, EHT, HST annual reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review and approve costing reports
  • Liaise with external auditors, lenders, and legal counsel

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of financial accounting management experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing rapid growth
  • University degree in finance/accounting and a valid CPA designation
  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and leadership ability
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and results-driven
