Digital Marketing Specialist

18 Month Contract

The Digital Marketing Specialist position will have the opportunity to support both our traditional and digital business. You will be an important part of our efforts to grow our customer base and engage with them through our entire brand portfolio – Culinary & Beauty.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be the team lead for marketing team. Working alongside the Marketing team (domestic/international), product management, sales and vendors, your role will lead planning and execution for in-store activation, local sales event, and other marketing campaigns. You must have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

To elevate the customer experience, you will create, develop and execute marketing strategies for the Canadian business through:

  • Assist in overall marketing strategy for brands including ZWILLING, Henckels, Staub, Miyabi, Demeyere & Tweezerman.
  • Lead the planning and execution of paid media campaigns for local markets to drive awareness of in-person events through both digital & traditional media channels.
  • Build, launch, and optimize geo-targeted paid social campaigns on Meta & TikTok to drive awareness of in-person events.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Ensure paid media efforts align with broader sales goals by working closely with Sales and Product Managers on new product launches and major promotions.
  • Support Amazon advertising by working closely with internal departments on sales goals, promotion planning and product strategy.
  • Collaborate with in-house creative team on assets and requests as needed to support the business.
  • Support in-store marketing projects with signage, fixtures, and local advertising to enhance customer experience and brand presence.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate trade marketing campaigns with internal sales teams.
  • Support logistics and administrative tasks, including setting up vendors in the financial system and handling purchase requests for billing.

Someone who would succeed in this position would have a solid understanding of best practices in marketing strategies to drive a direct-to-consumer business and ability to bring a consulting approach to help business solve issues and challenges. Understand customer behaviour and applying a localized approach to drive awareness of events would be an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing, is preferred.
  • Experience leading a team and collaborating with agencies/vendor partners required.
  • 4+ years previous experience in similar roles in the industry (consumer products an asset).
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, setting priorities and completion targets ensuring accomplishment on time, within budgets.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Digital Specific – the following will be considered strong assets:
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HTML, mailing automation/CRM
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Hands-on experience working within Google Ads and paid social platforms (Meta & TikTok)
  • Canadian media buying experience (traditional & digital) is a must.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects & deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
  • Self-driven nature with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Able to prioritize and self-direct work.
  • Able to work under pressure effectively.
