Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – AWADC5704026 Work Location: Montreal, QC (3 days onsite/week). Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), ServiceNow, Application Infrastructure. Must Have: Hands on Python Scripting. Job Description: Successful candidates for SRE roles in Application Infrastructure come from a variety of backgrounds; a developer looking to evolve site reliability as a practice, an infrastructure specialist interested in reliability and resilience principles, or a strong system administrator who enjoys troubleshooting and some task automation experience. Responsibilities Delivery of improvements that maximize the availability and performance of supported systems through optimized and automated operational tasks, collaborating on the development of operational tools, ongoing problem management, and architecture reviews with colleagues. Troubleshooting ServiceNow issues and on‑premises Linux capabilities when needed, collaborating with others to resolve issues and agree on lasting improvements. Exploring and delivering observability (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) that defines and measures the target reliability of a product. Being dependable and responsive during agreed hours, including participation in the on‑call rotation with the global team (with a time‑off in lieu system). Committing to understanding the firm’s ServiceNow instances and related dependencies, and contributing to their documentation. Identifying and prioritizing technical debt that can impact client satisfaction or operational efficiency. Providing feedback on policy and procedures related to SRE and operational practices to continually improve safety and efficiency. Skills required Software development skills in one or more programming languages, e.g., Python. ServiceNow administration or development experience. Comfortable troubleshooting on Linux environments. Experience with observability tools (Goed to note metrics, logs, tracing, alerts).
