A major global financial services institution is partnering with us to hire a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for their growing Montreal-based Application Infrastructure team. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational stability of enterprise applications, with a primary emphasis on ServiceNow SaaS implementations and their supporting infrastructure.A critical part of this position will be protecting system availability and operational resilience by ensuring that monitoring, automation, incident response processes, and reliability practices are implemented, optimized, validated, and continuously improved across production environments.The successful candidate brings strong production operations experience, a deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, and hands-on experience supporting mission-critical applications in enterprise environments.ResponsibilitiesLead and support the delivery of Site Reliability Engineering practices across enterprise application platforms.Improve system availability and performance through automation, task optimization, and reduction of operational toil.Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, collaborating with global teams to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.Support and maintain ServiceNow SaaS platforms and related dependencies.Operate and troubleshoot Linux-based environments, including occasional on-premise systems.Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions including metrics, logging, dashboards, and alerting.Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents and contributing to post-incident reviews.Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt that impacts reliability, client satisfaction, or operational efficiency.Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards.Provide feedback on SRE and operational policies with the goal of improving system safety, efficiency, and resilience.Qualifications7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, production support, application infrastructure, or systems engineering roles.Proven experience supporting mission-critical applications in production environments.Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems.Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and operational troubleshooting.Automation or scripting experience (e.g., Python, shell scripting).Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.Willingness to participate in an on-call rotationPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting ServiceNow or enterprise SaaS platforms.Familiarity with ITIL / IT Service Management practices.Experience reducing operational overhead through automation.Background in regulated or large enterprise environments (financial services experience not required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
