The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is seeking a skilled Data Integration Analyst to join their Actuarial Services Systems Team. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing ETL processing, reporting, integrations, and visualizations for various stages of Actuarial Services' workflows and dataflows. Collaborating with the team, you will support the maintenance of a data mart that provides historical, current, and predictive views of legal case and membership operations. As a key member of the team, you will also aid in report development, distribution, and complex custom ad-hoc information requests. This is a fully remote position, offering autonomy and responsibility while ensuring seamless coordination with the team.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Oracle database packages for distributed computing management of compute-intensive ETL applications using Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) and Direct Path Load
  • Integrate ETL processing into Excel, SAS, R, and Python using Oracle database packages
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel reports using Python and python-oracledb, integrating them with web services for shared access
  • Create and maintain complex Excel VBA macros with a third-party API to access model and forecast data
  • Ensure complex Excel reports are refreshed with current data by accessing integrated database queries
  • Maintain and auto-refresh data in Word integrations via Excel file links
  • Assist the Actuarial Services Systems Team with tasks such as quality assurance, regression testing, and testing plan design and implementation
  • Provide timely and quality assistance to the Senior Data Architect II
  • Support the Senior Systems Analyst with web application development
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and user training on systems and reporting capabilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting-related issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive procedure documents, scope and requirements documents, user manuals, and other information
  • Stay up-to-date with technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
