Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create a comforting and appealing menu for the main floor dining area, focusing on classic comfort foods and develop four seasonal sushi menus that highlight local ingredients and reflect current culinary trends.
- Food Preparation Guidance: Provide detailed recipes and preparation techniques to ensure consistency and excellence in both comfort food and sushi dishes.
- Quality Control: Establish and maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in both dining areas.
- Team Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff on the new menus, ensuring they understand and can execute the dishes to perfection.
- Inventory Management: Advise on inventory management practices to ensure the freshness and availability of all ingredients, particularly local and seasonal items.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to gather feedback on the new menus and make adjustments as needed to enhance the dining experience.
- Cost Management: Develop strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards for both comfort food and sushi offerings.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Culinary Consultant, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of comfort food and sushi preparation techniques.
- Strong leadership and team training skills.
- Excellent creativity and a passion for culinary innovation, particularly with local and seasonal ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills.
- A culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
