AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants, and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.

We are seeking a qualified Cost Estimator with a minimum 2 years of experience. The successful candidate will have junior-level knowledge of cost estimating and should be familiar with estimating processes, software suites, and proposal creation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Develops detailed cost estimates & budgetary pricing estimates for all bid projects.
  2. Works with sales team and applications engineers to develop project requirements.
  3. Reviews client bid packages, project specifications, and drawing packages.
  4. Solicits subcontractor and vendor quotations.
  5. Creates and Maintains Estimating Database.
  6. Creates proposal content.
  7. Prepares and maintains a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  8. Communicates with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  9. Develops post award handover packages.
  10. Performs other duties related to estimating and project quoting.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, ideally with estimating in a manufacturing environment.
  • InEight experience is a plus.
  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering, Construction, or Technical Discipline.
  • Experience with Water & Wastewater treatment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, Process drawings, and design drawings.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and pride in delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Interest in continuous learning.
