Tasks:
  1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  2. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients
  3. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  4. Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  5. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  6. Project cash flow and financing requirements
  7. Advise on tendering procedures
  8. Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  9. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  10. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  11. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
  12. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
