This position is for a Report Writer/Developer, Business Applications based out of our downtown, Toronto offices. This is a hybrid schedule, Monday to Friday 8:30 – 4:30 with three (3) days in office.

About You
As part of the Business Solutions team, the Yardi Report Writer/Developer supports Real Estate Management Services (REMS) departments across Canada including facilities services, client accounting, corporate accounting, audit, property management and lease services. This role requires a technology savvy, customer service-oriented, creative thinker to develop custom reports and solutions.


You are a Report Writer/Developer, a key contributor to company process improvements by translating business requirements into technologically supported solutions. This includes working with stakeholders to gather requirements for the developing of custom reports in Yardi supported formats. In addition to custom program to facilitate system efficiencies, evaluating alternative solutions and testing potential improvements. The Business Solutions team strives to enable the effective and efficient operation of the business platform nationally, and therefore this role requires an individual who understands a business operating environment and the effective application of technologies in support of the business.

In This Role


You will worork with functional business units and multiple stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into technology supported custom reports and solutions, data visualization tools and dashboards and ad hoc report


• Prepare specs, proposals, and recommendations to Yardi users in REMS Canada. Core enterprise applications include Yardi Voyager 7s, Yardi PayScan, Yardi Facility Manager, Yardi Energy, Spreadsheet Server, Power Automate and SharePoint
• Provide technical guidance and development support, coordinating with Software Vendor and internal IT Teams
• May assist with application upgrades (Service Packs or Plug-ins) including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and user notifications of system availability
• Ensures solutions are compliant with audit requirements, which includes creating process flows, system integrations and presentations

What You’ll Bring


• University degree with studies in information technology, computer science, business with accounting knowledge or experience
• Exposure to commercial real estate/property management principles, particularly from a technology and accounting support perspective
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• SQL knowledge is required with Yardi Spreadsheet Report experience
• Knowledge of Dashboard applications such as Microsoft PowerBI is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as outside the organization; (Note: This role requires an individual to initiate conversations across the departments)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively and professionally under pressure or in stressful situations
