We are a full-service Mechanical, Electrical and ICAT Engineering Firm, offering Professional Engineering Services through all phases of a Project: from early Master Planning to Detailed Design and Bid Document preparation, right through to Construction and Contract Administration; in both the traditional and alternative finance and procurement (AFP) project delivery models.

Position Description:
Quasar Consulting Group is currently seeking a Electrical Designer / Engineer to join us in our North Bay office..

Responsibilities and Duties:
Work efficiently on multiple projects with competing deadlines
Design building systems in accordance with office standards, the requirements of municipal or provincial building codes, and other applicable standards.
Design electrical building systems directly in Revit/CAD; adhering to company BIM/CAD standards.
Liaise with all stakeholders including owners, architects, interior designers, project consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Assist with the distribution of work between the internal design team and attend project/technical meetings.
Complete construction administration by reviewing equipment shop drawings and conducting site visits, site reviews and preparing change notices, site instructions, etc.
Any other relevant tasks assigned by Sector Lead required to assist in the completion of projects.

Qualifications:
Three or more years of direct industry experience in the field of electrical building services.
Expertise will include high, medium, and low voltage distribution and protection, lighting, dimming control, emergency and standby/critical power, grounding, lightning protection, data and voice communication, electronic sub-metering and fire alarm systems.
Diploma or Degree from an electrical building services program.
Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP.
Knowledge and experience working with Revit is an asset, with exposure to electrical layouts and systems
