Purpose of the Position

Located in a privileged environment, the Lumia private retirement residence offers an exceptional quality of life. This unique place combines the dynamism of city life with the friendliness and convenience of the neighborhood. We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Manager who has experience in operations and personnel management.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage apartment renovations in accordance with the program established by general management/the general manager
  2. Organize or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
  3. Maintenance and monitoring of equipment (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, furnaces, valves, etc.)
  4. Perform minor repairs in apartments and common areas
  5. Maintain and clean the premises
  6. Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
  7. Be available to respond to emergencies
Requirements

The ideal person has:

  • Teamwork and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Autonomy, dynamism, versatility, sense of organization and initiative
  • Good judgment and priority management
  • Enjoy contact with people

Required qualifications: A DEP in general building maintenance (as an asset), experience in personnel management, knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs, ease in the use of computer tools, CPR training, in-depth knowledge of the components of a residence/building’s installations.
