Veriforce is looking for a Vice President of Acquisition Marketing who can apply their technical knowledge and strategic skills to create a transformative demand engine. This marketing leader will own the strategy of client acquisition marketing from demand gen to closed won deals. The VP of Acquisition Marketing is a seasoned growth strategist with experience in the latest digital marketing trends and a classically trained marketer in channels like events and traditional advertising in the B2B space. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in the technical aspects of successfully building automated email cadences, developing actionable dashboards and the proven ability to identify, hire, coach and train existing and new talent, and get personally involved in building a growth marketing strategy that leads to achievement of Veriforce’s billings goals.
Both tactician and visionary, this individual thrives in an environment where they can build a strategy and then actively participate in bringing it to life and driving outcomes. You are a collaborative leader who is committed to forming effective partnerships with sales teams and you have demonstrable experience partnering with SDR teams to bridge the gap between marketing and sales, and can ensure the lead gen seen at the top of the funnel results in significant billings growth. As a captivating team leader (current team of 8-10 will scale with business), your laser-sharp focus and ruthless prioritization feeds your ability to coach, train, and inspire vertical marketing managers and others to execute the necessary campaigns and activities that will bring your strategic vision to reality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for new client acquisition in the company; success will be measured by billings associated with new client acquisition
- Build a culture of strategic and tactical rigor, high velocity experimentation and meticulous measurement
- Build the necessary connections and accountability between marketing, SDR, and outside sales teams to ensure alignment to overall company billings goals
- Drive ABM-style marketing with high-impact targets to deliver on aggressive growth targets
- Transform and provide specific client acquisition strategy that targets our competitive landscape, and what our clients gain from our platforms and services
- Develop and pioneer new tactics and strategies to test our paid digital media efforts, traditional advertising campaigns, and in-person event opportunities
- Build and coach a team of successful marketing professionals who understand growth marketing / demand generation and our value proposition.
- Work closely with analytics and data partners to build a world-class performance marketing engine across tracking, attribution, and optimization
- Closely manage and optimize the marketing budget to drive significant return on investment in terms of billings growth
- Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team to develop an actionable reporting engine for marketing activities and areas for improvement
- Partner closely with the sales and sales development teams to drive leads to close
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years leading marketing teams, specifically in the areas of acquisition, demand generation, growth, and/or performance marketing, with direct oversight of SEM, SEO, targeting and retargeting, paid social, display, TV, print, and outdoor advertising. Prior energy sector experience a plus.
- Role requires prior experience marketing to one of our target industries: Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Chemical, or a background in Procurement or safety
- Prior experience working in a double-sided marketplace sales environment
- Demonstrable track record of achieving down funnel goals for topline growth in a SaaS company
- Firsthand technical experience building ABM-style campaigns driven through technical platforms, and creating dashboards with reporting programs (i.e. Marketo / Pardot campaigns, Salesforce dashboards, etc)
- Adept in analyst relations (i.e. Gartner Magic Quadrant, Verdantix, et al)
- Proven ability to take a team from missing targets to surpassing them in a scalable and sustainable way
- Strong leadership and talent management skills, with a history of building teams from the ground up for success
- Creative problem solver and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Result-oriented and capable of driving measurable outcomes through marketing initiatives.
- History of successfully coordinating complex projects, with multiple facets and stakeholders.
- Works well both collaboratively and independently, a self-starter.
- Extensive knowledge of the latest B2B marketing channels and strategies for effective audience engagement
