As the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be accountable for establishing and administering the quality policies of INNIO Waukesha Gas Engines Inc. to keep quality performance from our suppliers at expected levels. The Lead SQE will maintain relationships with suppliers, resolving quality issues, and approving new suppliers and components. You will lead efforts to drive improvements and control the cost of quality directly with the suppliers.

In this position, you will be responsible for:
  1. Managing supply base focused on fabrications and miscellaneous machined engine components.
  2. Administering and processing of first piece qualifications.
  3. Resolving quality matters, corrective actions, requests for deviations, reject notifications, and continuous improvement and reporting for suppliers.
  4. Collaborating with Global Sourcing Specialists, Buyers, and Engineers to achieve quality and cost goals.
  5. Driving customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
  6. Participating on teams such as NPI, Tiger, or other teams as requested.
  7. Traveling as required to perform job duties 30-40% including globally.
  8. Contributing to INNIO Waukesha Continuous Improvement Process set (e.g.: CI projects, participate in RCA’s, Q-Cases, etc.)
Position Requirements:
  1. Technical Degree, preferably in engineering, from an accredited university or college or equivalent, directly related experience, and a minimum of 3 years job-related experience in the quality field.
  2. Previous experience in working with an industrial environment is preferred.
  3. Ability to drive change in a challenging business environment.
  4. Strong analytical, commercial acumen, and contractual awareness.
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing operations/processes.
  6. Experience with quality management system(s) desired.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills with customers, peers, and team members.
  8. Ability to work across organizational boundaries and in cross-functional and cross-regional teams throughout the business.
  9. Demonstrated solid communicator - written and oral.
  10. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
  11. Knowledge of business finance.
