WHAT YOU WILL DO

This position will lead the development of integrated brand and product campaigns to strengthen awareness and purchase consideration of the Hyundai brand in the Canadian marketplace. Creativity and leadership demanded to lead internal teams as well as external partners to develop and breakthrough campaigns that demonstrate Hyundai’s leadership in quality, technology, safety and electrification.

The role will help steer strategic decision making and oversee and approve all media and creative tactics for the Hyundai brand in Canada. Ability to own the process and art, working closely with vendor partners including Innocean Worldwide Canada.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Develop and lead the execution of integrated communication strategies and tactics that span across all channels for both Rest of Canada and Quebec
  • Advance the brand positioning and establish governance of guidelines to ensure the integrity of the standards
  • Prepare and present agency briefing materials
  • Develop and execute approved media and creative plans with agencies
  • Oversee direct reports in the execution of TV commercials and content, print advertising, POP projects, vehicle landing pages, product videos, digital advertising, and social media
  • Lead contact with advertising/media agencies to ensure all brand and product-focused advertising projects are delivered on time, within budget, and on message
  • Collaborate with many cross functional teams both internal and external as a primary liaison to develop content/messaging for advertising, manage multiple agency partnerships, competing tasks and adhering to timelines. Maintain and foster strong working relationships with working teams and ensure work is delivered on brief, on budget and on time and through an engaged Hyundai/Agency team.
  • Develop relationships with other global subsidiaries for asset collaboration and cost efficiency
  • Primary responsibility (with support of direct reports) to manage the annual media and production budgets
  • Identify and fulfill influencer and spokesperson partnership agreements.
  • Present and report department activities and KPIs to internal stakeholders and our Hyundai dealer partners

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in same or similar function with automotive experience being desirable
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree preferably in Business Administration/B. Comm or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Marketing Designations are an asset
  • Strong strategic capability
  • Results focused and resourceful to leverage various data sources to drive decision making
  • Management experience leading teams and building collaborative relationships with external partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Presentation skills and expertise with MS PowerPoint
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Efficient time management skills, including multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Eager to learn new things and produce results
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • French language is an asset
