Position Information
The Senior Coordinator, Business Continuity will play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization’s IT services can withstand and quickly recover from disruptions. They will help develop and maintain The Ottawa Hospital’s (TOH) Digital Solutions Business Continuity plan. Some of the activities of this position include Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Recovery Strategies, Crisis Management, and Testing and Maintenance. The Sr Coordinator will interface with all Digital Solutions Teams and TOH Emergency Management and Preparedness team.
What You Will Bring
- Three (3) year Community College diploma in an IT related field or equivalent;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing a Business Continuity Plan for IT organizations;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with auditing IT systems, monitoring performance, and addressing technical problems;
- Experience with project management and overseeing projects to improve business continuity capabilities;
- Experience with Business Impact Analysis and understanding the effects of disruptions on business operations;
- Excellent communication skills. Clear and effective communication, especially during a crisis;
- Experience with disaster management and knowledge of strategies to restore IT functions after a crisis;
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to perform effectively in a high-paced and detail-oriented environment and to effectively manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree in an IT related field.
