Cornerstone Building Brands Canada is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong passion for Product Management to join our Team.

Position Overview:

The Director of Product and Pricing reports to the VP of Growth Excellence and leads team efforts to continuously develop and drive winning product portfolio and pricing strategies across the business unit and all its product lines. This position has functional leadership for all brands and products in the Canadian Business Unit. It partners with key functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technology, and Finance, and manages a team of Product and Pricing managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the definition and execution of the product strategies and roadmaps supporting long term profitable above market growth, delivering cohesive and unique product solutions to current and future customers
  • Oversee the product management and pricing functions who are responsible for the overall product lifecycle, product margin level profitability, pricing systems and policies across all product lines.
  • Develop a strong product management culture including best-in-class and portfolio management practices, strong integration of product within all aspects of the business planning, and continuous focus on quality, fit-for-use and sustainability of the product lines
  • Lead by influence and champion cross functional collaboration that enables stronger alignment, drives faster decision making and execution.
  • Develop a high performing team of product management and pricing professionals through continuous people and capability development.
  • Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to manage product development stage gate processes
  • Collaborate with leaders from sales, marketing, strategy, supply chain and operations and finance to uncover customer growth opportunities and develop implementation roadmaps in a matrix organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree in appropriate discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and demonstrated track record of product management, new product development and commercialization, product line rationalization, portfolio/category strategies.
  • Experience in building products industry strongly preferred
  • Team leadership and coaching experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to differentially manage efforts in complex, competitive, fast moving environment and guide teams through ambiguity
  • Experience in business case modeling
