Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Software Development and Architecture, you would work as part of the development team in architecting, implementing and maintaining scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and users in the virtual healthcare space. As a Senior Developer, you would work closely with managers to determine needs and create plans, utilize your expertise to ensure cohesive and functional products, and act as a mentor to more junior developers on the team.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements for Florizel Health.
Architect and implement backend microservices using Node.js, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Design and develop frontend components for our Web (React) and Mobile (React Native) applications.
Optimize application performance, security, and reliability through best practices and continuous improvement.
Implement automated testing and deployment strategies to maintain high code quality and rapid release cycles.
Work closely with Product Management and UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Skills and RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on Node.js for backend development.
Solid experience with AWS services such as CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
Proficiency in frontend development using React for Web and React Native for Mobile applications.
Experience with serverless architectures using Serverless Framework and/or CloudFormation.
Strong understanding of SaaS platforms and principles.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
