WSP is currently seeking a Land Development Practice Leader to join our Urban and Community Planning team, located at our Toronto, Thornhill, or Kitchener offices. What you can expect do here:
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team on a range of land development projects including planning approvals such as Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Draft Plan of Subdivision, Draft Plan of Condominium, Site Plan Approval, and Committee of Adjustment Applications;
- Organizing and participating in all sizes of stakeholder meetings and public consultation processes;
- Leading research and preparation of planning due diligence reports, planning justification reports, planning opinion reports, and land use analyses;
- Preparing for and presenting evidence to the Ontario Land Tribunal;
- Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary professional services environment;
- Leading client engagement and business development for the Land Development Practice; and
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- University degree in Planning;
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in professional planning;
- Registered Professional Planner in the Province of Ontario;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Strong project management experience with complex planning projects comprised of multi-disciplinary teams;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, query, analyze, and effectively communicate information;
- Client management and/or business development experience is preferred;
- Highly motivated, organized, flexible, enthusiastic team player committed to upholding our reputation for delivering high quality service;
- Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills; and
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
