Job Description:

Do you have management experience within estates or buildings? Are you looking for an autonomous position with variety, challenge, and where you can stamp your mark on the estates team?

In this role, the Head of Estates is responsible for the management and work of the Estates team and the development, condition, and security of the built estate, and environment, as well as having responsibility for Health and Safety.

Operating as a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Estates will work closely with a range of managers and staff, leading an Estates team to deliver a professional, planned, and customer-focused maintenance service to the college as a whole.

The ideal candidate will have experience as an estates manager or Head of Estates and has substantial experience in managing building projects and maintenance programs.

This is a brilliant role for a senior estates manager to join a fantastic organization where you will be a vital cog in the wheel and play a key part in the organization's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the building, operation, and maintenance of the estate in line with an updated College Estate Strategy.
  2. Review, update, and implement the Estate Strategy.
  3. Lead, develop, and manage the Estates and Maintenance teams to deliver a proactive, efficient, effective, and customer-focused service.
  4. As the lead officer for Health and Safety, ensure the environment complies with all regulatory requirements and legislation through effective systems, policies, processes, learning, and promotion.
Requirements:
  • Have experience in a management role within estates.
  • Substantial experience of managing building projects and maintenance programs.
  • Experience of managing and controlling budgets together with an understanding of the delivery of maintenance and capital programs.
  • Experience of planning, reporting, and presenting at a senior management level.
