Finning Canada is currently looking for a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their family, part of the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. As a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic with Finning you will be responsible for field troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line products, based out of the Surrey, BC branch but working in the field. Some of the equipment you will be working on includes 301 - 390 excavators and 914 - 992 Wheel Loaders.
This position will work on a 7x7 continuous rotation working in the field in a customer facing role. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification with a valid driver's license, when you are who we're looking for

- Tooled service truckJob Description:
Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Qualifications:
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
5+ Years Off Road Mechanical experience is considered an asset
Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset
Notes:
This position is located out of our Finning Surrey branch
A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
