Job Description

Are you a skilled Senior Accountant with a passion for precision who excels in a collaborative, close-knit team environment? Our dynamic accounting firm client in Moncton, NB, is seeking a motivated professional to join their team to make a meaningful impact both with clients and within the organization.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  1. Manage bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients
  2. Support clients to ensure needs are actively met (identify risks, deliver added value, provide advice, maintain strong relationships, etc.)
  3. Analyze financial information and provide valuable solutions for opportunities and challenges
  4. Plan, prepare, and execute audits, review engagements, and Notice to Reader files
  5. Analyze, prepare, file corporate and personal tax returns, as well as trust returns
  6. Prepare and file HST returns, and other government filings
  7. Coach and support junior team members
  8. Contribute to business growth and development
Skills & Attributes for Success:
  1. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
  2. 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
  3. Proficiency in Sage50, QuickBooks, and/or Excel and MS Office Suite are ideal, with a willingness and flexibility to adapt to new programs and systems
  4. Superior communication skills and client-focused approach
  5. Positive attitude and interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to thrive in an engaged team environment
  6. Ability to meet project deadlines within timeframes and budgets
  7. Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented work ethic
