New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a part-time Project Manager to help our client with the implementation of a new Laboratory Information Management System. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the project plan from design/build through to implementation and sustainment. The PM is also responsible for the analysis and documentation of business requirements, gap analysis, solution identification, and the overall design/build/test of the solutions, features and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management
  • Resource (Vendor and Team) management task assignment, follow-up, etc.
  • Communications
  • Status Reporting
  • Risk/Issue management
  • Budget tracking/Payment Processing

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Successful experience implementing/upgrading Laboratory Information Systems including integration of same with upstream or downstream information systems via HL7.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver working with geographically distributed team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful working with shared resources who may be challenged to respond to conflicting simultaneous demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a part time capacity.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex projects within fixed time-frames.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competence in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Teams and Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without the support of a project coordinator/administrative support personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact tactfully and effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
