Position Title: Senior Exstream Developer

Reports To: Manager, Enterprise Content Management

Department: Enterprise Platforms

Term: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technology Specialist (Senior Exstream Developer) to join our Enterprise Content Management team In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and modernizing Equitable’s content management applications, specializing in OpenText Exstream solutions.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about how technology drives business. Someone who understands how we communicate to our clients matters. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and automation that can help business succeed today and in our future. Experience with content template creation and management are critical for this role.

What you will be doing:

  1. Lead and deliver the translation of communication requirements into OpenText Exstream templates. This includes the requirement gathering, design, development, and maintenance of our communication templates along with LOB specific business rules and integrations.
  2. You will be responsible for the delivery of all Exstream related efforts (Large Program, Small Enhancements, Support, Escalations etc.).
  3. Create, enhance, and support complex technical configurations and coding of customized solution components within the ECM framework, including integrations with various major systems within the organization.
  4. Engage and collaborate closely with our business partners, senior ECM team members and other IT groups to successfully design and implement quality integrated solutions.
  5. Solve complex technical problems, track and provide various solution options with impact analysis.
  6. Research new technologies and collaborate with the architecture team to make recommendations for the betterment of the business.
  7. Be part of a dynamic team that provides technical support and monitors and maintains ECM systems for solid availability and performance.
  8. Future opportunities to support and work with other ECM technologies that the team supports, such as capture imaging, workflow, and records management.

What you will bring:

  1. Minimum 5 years experience as a subject matter expert with OpenText Exstream is required. Preferably OpenText Exstream Technical Certified.
  2. Strong technical design skills and ability to deliver complex solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Experience as technical lead on larger integrated implementations. Able to lead initiatives and drive the execution with a sense of urgency and ownership.
  4. Ability to analyze and document existing complex custom processes and propose options for streamlining existing code/configuration, if necessary.
  5. Knowledge of C# on both .NET Core and .NET Framework as well as experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
  6. In-depth, hands-on experience with software systems design and development for both on-premise and Cloud based solutions. Excellent knowledge of code management and build practices (e.g., DevOps).
  7. Solid operational support skills, including troubleshooting system health and communicating effectively with business and other IT partners to define and resolve issues.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus and attention to detail.
  9. Knowledge or experience with Enterprise Workflow, case and queue management or automation solutions (e.g., Hyland’s OnBase and WorkView solutions, Kofax Capture solutions) would be an asset.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communications skills – can articulate complicated ideas in a clear and friendly manner, technical information to non-technical audiences.
  11. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.Strong interpersonal and partnership building skills; can reach out and engage a variety of individuals.
  12. Strong working knowledge of networks, active directory, security practices and server infrastructure.
  13. University degree and/or a combination of equivalent technical education and working experience.
