Your Opportunity

The Senior Analyst is an integral part of the investment team who is at the forefront of Lankin Investments’ growth strategy. Working with the Senior Director, Investments, the Senior Analyst will support the successful execution of investment deals in markets across Canada with accountability for underwriting, financial and market analysis, valuation, deal structuring, due diligence and closing.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Support the complete transaction cycle for multi-family properties including detailed market research, acquisition underwriting, coordination of due diligence and closing;
  • Develop comprehensive financial models;
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of “Deal Sheet”;
  • Prepare Letter of Intents (LOI);
  • Prepare investment committee memos for investment decision making;
  • Interface with third party consultants (engineers, appraisers, etc.), and transaction counterparts for quotes and reports as required during due diligence;
  • Review, synthesize and summarize due diligence material;
  • Act as central information source by maintaining and distributing acquisition details and due diligence materials;
  • Monitor due diligence process, escalate and investigate any issues raised, and provide possible solutions and recommendations;
  • Manage acquisition timelines and due dates;
  • Maintain due diligence checklists and follow up on the completeness of the checklist for each transaction based on timelines;
  • Work with Asset Management to develop in-depth strategic asset plans;
  • Prepare financing packages;
  • Support the transition of properties to the asset management team;
  • Work with Asset Management to identify possible assets for disposition;
  • Maintain investment sales database and conduct comprehensive market research;
  • Manage the teams review and signing of Confidentiality Agreements;
  • Maintain acquisition files and documentation;
  • Lead implementation of new acquisitions processes or platforms;
  • Additional duties as necessary and assigned by the Senior Director, Investments.

Leading Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a university degree in finance, business, commerce or related field and a minimum of 3 years of real estate investment experience; superior analytical and advanced Excel skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines; and strong relationship building and communications skills.
