This position is a Hybrid role available in Vancouver, BC

About you

Are you a Junior Accountant seeking to advance your accounting capabilities and broaden your experience within a prominent publicly traded organization? Join us to further your skills and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of finance at our company.

This role is responsible for recording revenue transactions for the brokerage operations. This position also plays an important role to ensure revenues and commissions reported are following US GAAP and Internal Controls.

In this role, you will...

  • Record transactions to report revenue and commission expenses
  • Prepare, review and analyze broker transactions for payments
  • Management of broker account recharge
  • Provide support to the branch offices on the use various Deal Tracking System and assist with day-to-day operational related inquiries.
  • Perform revenue testing on deal transactions
  • Review and reconcile accounts related to Revenue and commissions
  • Prepare month-end accrual and perform bonus calculation
  • Provide quality analysis in a timely manner on the revenue and variable producer compensation items.
  • Assist Team Lead to prepare working files for various audits
What you'll bring
  • 2+ years of General Accounting experience.
  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with commission-based compensation and/or payroll processing.
  • Advanced MS Excel experience, and Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge would be considered an asset
  • A self-motivated individual with customer service orientation and 'can do' attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $49,600.00 to $62,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
