Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Sector Leader- Water & Wastewater Conveyanceto lead our growth strategy, major pursuits, and client engagement efforts across Canada. This senior leadership role focuses on delivering integrated, resilient, and sustainable solutions for large-scale water and wastewater conveyance systems—including trunk mains, pressure zones, tunnels, and pumping infrastructure. As a trusted advisor to public sector clients, you'll collaborate with technical teams, regional business leaders, and pursuit strategists to shape critical infrastructure across the country.Join us from anywhere across Canada This role can be based out of any AECOM office from BC to ON. We're looking for two talented individuals—one to lead efforts for Western Canada and another for Eastern Canada.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth & Market DevelopmentLead national strategy for water and wastewater conveyance systems, including large-diameter pipelines, force mains, and gravity sewers.Identify and pursue high-impact opportunities across key markets such as Metro Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and regional municipalities.Collaborate with tunneling, trenchless technology, and pump station experts to deliver comprehensive solutions.Client Relationships & Industry VisibilityBuild and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, water agencies, and utility providers.Serve as a visible industry leader at key conferences and technical forums (e.g., CWWA, TAC, NASTT).Support client pre-positioning, pursuit planning, and go/no-go decisions for major conveyance projects.Pursuits & Proposal LeadershipOversee strategic capture planning and proposal execution for major pipeline and conveyance infrastructure opportunities.Leverage internal technical expertise in hydraulic modeling, trenchless design, and condition assessment.Ensure pursuit strategies align with client needs, funding environments, and AECOM's delivery capabilities.Team Development & Internal CollaborationMentor and guide technical and business development staff in conveyance-related pursuits.Work with engineering, construction management, and tunneling teams to align market strategy with project execution.Foster a high-performance culture focused on excellence, innovation, and collaboration.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related technical field).10+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in business development or leadership roles focused on water/wastewater conveyance.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred.Proven track record in securing and delivering complex linear infrastructure projects (e.g., trunk mains, large-diameter pipelines, tunnel systems).Deep understanding of municipal procurement models, funding programs, and project lifecycles.Experience with trenchless technologies (HDD, micro-tunneling, CIPP, etc.) and conveyance systems >1000 mm in diameter.Strong relationships with major Canadian water utilities, municipalities, and regulators.Familiarity with asset management, hydraulic modeling, and condition assessment approaches.Proven growth in conveyance-related backlog and revenueAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
