Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the hardware and software deployed in Osmow’s. The IT Manager needs to ensure 100% uptime of the network and workstations through redundancy planning, by suggesting, developing and implementation solutions to improve efficiencies and workflows, and by staying up to date with new and current technology solutions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Management
    o Monitor, maintain, and support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs across all locations
    o Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  2. Server Administration
    o Install, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual) and related software.
    o Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
  3. User Support:
    o Provide technical support to end-users at the Head Office, Plant, and Corporate Restaurants for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    o Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
  4. Security
    o Implement and maintain security measures to protect company data and systems.
    o Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  5. Software Management:
    o Install, update, and manage software applications used within the company.
    o Ensure software licenses are up to date and compliant with legal requirements.
  6. Employee Onboarding:
    o Set up and configure hardware and software for new employees.
    o Provide initial training and orientation on company IT systems and policies.
    o Ensure new employees have the necessary access and permissions to perform their roles effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft network environments, including ERP implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server 2019, Office 365, SQL Server, and Windows.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based at our Mississauga location.
  • Almost always work indoors. May on rare occasions work outdoors.
  • Often share office space with other workers.
  • May be required to travel to other sites occasionally
