Your Opportunity:

The incumbent is primarily responsible for the distribution of human tissue for transplantation, which includes receiving orders, working with clients to troubleshoot tissue shortages, tissue transfer and packing, arranging shipment, and handling any subsequent issues. The incumbent also participates in the recovery, processing and preservation of human tissues for transplant. The incumbent also assists in the daily technical duties of the CTC and assists with programs and projects in support of the CTC (as needed). Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be required to participate in quality control and quality assurance processes and lab activities related to tissue banking.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12. Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduation from a health sciences degree program or related field that includes physiology or anatomy. Previous operating room experience. Previous tissue banking experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Tissue Specialist or equivalent by a recognized Canadian or American organization. Knowledge of American Association of Tissue Banks and Health Canada Regulations/CSA Standards.
