310T TRUCK & COACH TECHNICIAN or APPRENTICE

Location: London Yard, London, Ontario

Position Type: Full-time- Permanent- Afternoon Shift

Reporting: Shop Foreperson

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 12:30pm

Rate: $39.71 per hour plus $2.12 shift premium ($41.83/h)

Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the Provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. We are looking for a highly capable 310T Truck & Coach Technician or Apprentice.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Service and repair all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
  • Repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as perform shop maintenance.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct on-road service calls, as required.

Requirements:

  • Possess and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence.
  • Hold at least a valid 'G' Licence.
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify faults, with experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team.
  • Availability to work late when trucks are behind schedule, including weekends and holidays.
