Senior Fire Safety Analyst

The department of Safety Engineering at AtkinsRéalis/CANDU Energy is engaged in the deterministic and probabilistic fire assessments in support of new CANDU Nuclear Power Plants as well as supporting the operation and safety of the existing domestic and international CANDU plants. The senior fire safety analyst will work together with other senior and junior staff to develop and apply advanced analysis methodologies to address client/project concerns regarding safety and licensing for plant support, refurbishment and new build. These include issues related to fire hazard assessment (FHA), fire probabilistic safety assessment (PSA), fire safe shutdown analysis (FSSA) or fire code compliance review (CCR).

Your role within the team:

  • Work within the nuclear sector or energy facilities.
  • Lead multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes....

The ideal candidate:

  • Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively a post graduate qualification in fire engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience. A plus would be CFPS certification of the NFPA.
  • Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects – experience in nuclear sector is strongly considered. Experience in team leading is a plus....
