Job Description:

As the VP, Account Director for Medical Affairs and Promotional Medical Education, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to drive the success of our client engagements. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will oversee the development and execution of medical education programs and scientific communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their business objectives and needs.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions to align on project goals and deliverables.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for medical affairs and promotional medical education programs, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry regulations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and insights to internal teams, including medical writers, scientific strategists, and creative professionals, to drive the successful execution of projects.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of medical education programs, including content development, speaker training, advisory board meetings, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, while adhering to regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to account management teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Support professional development initiatives and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Financial Management:

  • Manage account budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and growth of client accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and new business development within existing client accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in medical affairs, medical education, or healthcare communications, with a focus on pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing client relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of medical and scientific concepts, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling communications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with flexibility to travel for client meetings and events as needed.
