Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based in Markham, ON. At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. Our local office provides design opportunities throughout Ohio in water treatment, wastewater treatment, green infrastructure such as bioretention and permeable pavement, waterline rehabilitation and replacement, sanitary sewer condition assessment and rehabilitation, hydraulic modeling, and sanitary sewer/pump station/conveyance improvements. In addition to local projects, AECOM provides opportunities to work on projects throughout the country as local office leaders share work amongst offices. Adding to that, AECOM provides access to national experts to provide guidance and leadership on projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Participates, collaborates, and develops engineering expertise and skills, in the area of risk, reliability, safety and security engineering
  2. Performs engineering and risk analysis under the supervision of experienced engineers
  3. Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of experienced engineers
  4. Develops engineering calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and prepare technical reports under the supervision of experienced engineers
  5. Uses computer software applications and tools to develop macros and codes for testing robustness of electronic components and systems
  6. Commits to delivering work in accordance with agreed upon scope, budget and schedule under supervision of experienced engineers
  7. Travels to client sites for testing and/or meetings across GTHA, as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in electrical or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Having a cybersecurity certificate or diploma is preferred
  • Having a master’s degree is preferred.
