Junior Electrical Engineering Technician

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Corporate Electrical & Automation team to support our expansion in Ontario. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic growing team in our Concord office. Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day delivery of engineering services, from testing high voltages to making sure projects are completed on schedule. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional services and maintaining good working relationships with clients and co-workers.
With us you’ll get the opportunity to:- Assist in high voltage testing such as withstand test, partial discharge testing, and other applicable testing on medium to low voltage electrical apparatus
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer
- Identify issues & problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
- Ensure that project assignments are completed on schedule and within budget and in an economical manner
- Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to enhance engineering deliverables
- Willing to travel outside the province for extended period
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Have experience with design of substations or power plants
- Strong willingness to learn hands-on work for electrical testing on site
- Willingness to work in laboratory and field environment
- Experience with MS office and Acrobat Reader
- Diploma in Electrical/Electromechanical
- Valid G driver's license
- 1+ years of experience in design/testing
