Reporting to the Structural Engineering Team Lead, the Structural REVIT Designer will provide structural / architectural design expertise on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Working with our architectural and engineering teams to develop and generate 3-dimensional computer models and 2-dimensional drawings of commercial and industrial structures.
  2. Preparing design drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules.
  3. Coordinating structural modeling and design elements on multidiscipline project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Piping/Utilities including assisting in utility routing.
  4. Coordinating design input and completing markups.
  5. Initial REVIT model setup.
  6. Conducting field inspections and verifications.
Position Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 – 5 years of structural design/detailing experience with commercial, industrial, or institutional projects. A bachelor's degree is preferred but relevant work experience will be considered in lieu.
  2. Proficiency and verifiable professional experience with Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
  3. Experience with Navisworks or similar multi-discipline clash detection, model review platforms.
  4. Ability to multi-task and be flexible and adaptable to ever-changing project requirements and timelines.
  5. Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  7. Experience working with vendors on content download and updates to company standards.
  8. Experience supporting linked views and others in multiple model situations.
  9. Experience developing fabrication (LOD 400) level drawing packages is a plus.
Travel and Working Conditions:
  1. Work is completed in a newly renovated modern office environment.
  2. Limited travel is necessary to support project presentations and site investigations at client sites across Canada; travel is expected to be in the range of 10%-15% of the time, including occasionally overnight.
