JOB TITLE: Business System Analyst

Location : Remote (With Occasional travel to office)

Estimated duration: 21 st May 2024 to 22 nd November 2024

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • The proposed resource must meet or exceed the following education and certification requirements: University Degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology OR An equivalent combination of a College diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and experience may also be considered.
  • 5 years of Experience as a senior business analyst working in Information Technology projects with a focus on Information Security conducting requirements elicitation & business system process documentation for IT applications in both agile and waterfall project modes
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
  • Submitted resumes must be 5 pages max, focus on the Scored Requirements (section 4) and Deliverables (section 11).
  • Vendors must submit no more than 3 candidates for consideration. For any Vendors submitting more than 3, only the first three candidates submitted will be considered.

SCORED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of Demonstrated experience performing security analysis for complex business transformation initiatives in a multi-entity organizational environment
  • 5 years of Demonstrated experience in effective interactive communication and presentation skills including but limited to requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and requirements prioritization.
  • 5 years of Demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting and diagramming operational processes and workflows, developing operational procedures, standards, and/or policies to achieve identified business outcomes, including those related to network and IT infrastructure security.
  • 3 years of Experience working on Identity & Access Management technologies, with preference for experience with Privileged Access Management tools and solutions.
  • 3 years of Experience with Cyber Security program design and implementation and/or execution of the program.
  • 5 years of Demonstrated experience in prioritization of assigned activities or tasks. Describe your approach to managing your time through proper prioritization of activities. Identify what inputs (sources of information) and check and balance you apply to ensure proper prioritization.
  • 3 years of Demonstrated experience with jurisdictional reviews.
  • Current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association, such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP
  • Current certification from a recognized information security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA.
  • Experience working in or for the public sector in Canada.

DELIVERABLS:

The Senior Business Analyst Will Be Expected To

  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify objectives and goals of the Cyber Security Program;
  • Gather and document business requirements of the security program by performing elicitation and coordination tasks with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Review existing security governance and program documentation, and capture undocumented processes, developing a picture of current state, including maturity levels across various business capabilities;
  • Help to establish a security governance framework which will ensure ongoing oversight and management of the security program;
  • Review security policies, standards and procedures, evaluating in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements;
  • Help define and improve information security KPI's and KRI's to measure the effectiveness of the security program;
  • Facilitate information visualization mechanisms (dashboards, reports, etc.) allowing effective communication of security status and trending to executive management;
  • Provide business analysis capabilities for high-profile projects such as the procurement and implementation of a Privileged Access Management (PAM) suite;
  • Assist with tasks associated to the adoption and implementation of a Privileged Access Management (PAM) suite to modernize how SNB manages privileged credentials and enhanced permission roles;
  • Other work packages, tasks and duties as assigned.
