This position follows a 7x7 continuous shift rotation based out of our Edmonton General Line Construction facility.Job Description:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
  • Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Machinist Red Seal certification
  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal certification
  • Capacity to handle pressure and switch between tasks and trade throughout the day
  • Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Previous Caterpillar mining product repair experience would be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and computer skills

Notes:

  • This position is located out of Edmonton General Line Construction facility on 7x7 continuous shift rotation
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate selection will follow the terms of the current Collective Agreement
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
