We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to support our Legal department.
Responsibilities may include :
- Research projects and assist with discovery and litigation analysis
- Conduct privacy and regulatory legal research and manage projects
- Assist with drafting agreements
- Review contracts and summaries
- Update agreement templates and identify process improvements
- Work with your supervisor, providing advice to client contacts on legal issues
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Marketing, to elaborate contract language
- Offer contract interpretation and legal advice to internal departments on diverse legal matters
- Research briefs and memos
- Assist with organising the department
Do you possess…
- A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB), diploma Juris Doctor (J.D.) or a bachelor’s in civil law (B.C.L.) or equivalent
- 2-3 years experience reviewing and drafting contracts, ideally for CPG manufacturers
- An interest in the distribution business and in developing a business-focused legal approach
- Experience with Commercial Law
- An entrepreneurship mindset with a sense of accountability and the will to go above and beyond the job description
- The ability to work independently, to attend meetings and work on assignments
- Experience communicating effectively with management and decision-making individuals within the organisation
- Privacy, data protection certification or experience is a plus

Possédez-vous...
- Un baccalauréat en droit (LLB), d’un diplôme de Juris Doctor (J.D.) ou d’un baccalauréat en droit civil (B.C.L.) ou l’équivalent
- 2 à 3 ans d'expérience dans l'examen et la rédaction de contrats, idéalement pour des fabricants de produits de consommation courante
- Un intérêt pour le secteur de la distribution et pour le développement d'une approche juridique axée sur les affaires
- De l’expérience en droit commercial
