Senior Frontend Developer

Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto-1 or 2 days/week in office (currently on Mondays/Wednesdays, subject to change as needed)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Business Group: Commercial Banking Engineering oversees changes/implementations to commercial client programs.

Project: Supporting the Business Banking Client Portal (BBCP) application - onboarding tool for Commercial clients and Precision Lender application - pricing tool, part of the Salesforce ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop frontend solutions, ensuring that code and configurations adhere to security, logging, error handling, performance standards, and non-functional requirements.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
  3. Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
  4. Implement best practices for efficient and effective development.

Must-Have Skills:

  1. 10+ years of experience in frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, HTML, CSS, and building enterprise web applications).
  2. Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  3. Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  1. Familiarity with back-end technologies (e.g., React, Java, AzureDB) for seamless integration.
  2. Commercial Banking knowledge.
  3. Experience with cloud computing services such as Google GCP and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  4. Portfolio/Samples of work.

Candidate Review & Selection:

1 round – MS Teams Video Interview – 1 hour – with HM and Director of Engineering and other developers.

30 minutes is for Introduction, background and experience, examples from previous jobs, and behavioral questions; the remaining 30 minutes is for a technical test – a hands-on exercise where the candidate will have to code for a solution. Language: Javascript.

Additional Notes:

Will be looking for level of expertise with each required technology – must be hands-on & recent.
