Quality Assurance Specialist

Under supervision of the Science and Quality Assurance Sr. Director, the Quality Assurance Specialist will participate in the implementation, operation, and continued maintenance of the Quality Assurance System.

The incumbent’s responsibilities will be to :

  • Writing and reviewing procedures, manuals, and forms to improve or maintain the required quality level for each department (Analytical Chemistry, R&D, mini-pilot and pilot plant)
  • Maintain surveillance to national and international regulations, standards, and strategies related to material and plastic products assuring full compliance of the end product requirements.
  • Ensuring that end products comply with established quality standards before they are sent to international clients
  • Ensuring the development and operation of the QA management system
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining a system to control and ensure follow-up of internal training
  • Developing, Implementing and maintaining tracking processes for raw materials, intermediate products and end products in agreement to standards and regulations in the recycling of plastic material field.
  • Supporting implementation of quality manuals and procedures which will be used to ensure quality of a new international commercial production unit around the world.
  • Collecting and analyzing quality data to facilitate proactive solutions
  • Performing internal quality audits when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, specially in the plastic industry or other food contact material industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or technical diploma in chemistry or related field
  • Proficiency in both French and English
  • Good knowledge of the main applications of the MS Office Suite
