Here’s what our recruitment process looks like: Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. We look forward to meeting you Job description We are looking for a PLC & Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems to join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineering team. You’ll work on custom water technology projects, developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and supporting commissioning activities across North America. This is a hybrid role based in Oakville, offering the opportunity to work on innovative automation projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for various water technology systems. Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams and participate in client meetings to ensure technical alignment and quality deliverables. Read and interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines. Troubleshoot control systems and support network design and commissioning both remotely and on‑site. Maintain and improve standardized process control documentation and automation best practices. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (Electrical, Automation, or related field). Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation or PLC Engineer. Proven experience with Rockwell and Schneider PLC systems (must‑have). Experience with Siemens or Emerson automation platforms is a strong plus. Strong knowledge of control systems, network design, and VFDs. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred.
