Make an impact with our Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) team as a Senior Manager (or Manager). This diverse team of professionals delivers customized tax strategies within a complex and dynamic regulatory framework. As a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure clients capitalize on opportunities to receive government support for innovation by identifying eligible projects and navigating the multitude of government incentive programs and funding opportunities available. Ideally, the candidate will have a broad exposure to current development technologies and environments including: manufacturing, product development environments, prototyping techniques, food and beverage, metal and plastic forming and processing, electronics, and much more. This is a consulting role that involves the candidate interfacing with Engineering managers / CTO’s / owners of business who are doing product and process development.

Performance Expectations
- Assist clients to identify, prepare and claim projects under the SR&ED Tax Credit program
- Identify industry advances within the engineering / manufacturing and other areas of technical innovation
- Write reports to provide an overview of the client development projects and how the SR&ED criteria is being met
- Manage multiple assignments; and deliver assignments on time and on budget
- Interact with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and provincial tax authority representatives, as well as other funding / investment community in the field
- Network and market MNP SR&ED services to existing and prospective clients
- Ability to travel across the provincial, on an infrequent basis is an asset
Credentials
- Bachelors or Masters Engineering degree – Mechatronics / Chemical / Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial
- 5+ years or progressive industry work experience in engineering and exposure to current development technologies and environments
- 2+ years of experience with Canada’s SR&ED tax credit program is preferred
- Bilingual French/English written and verbal skills are a very strong asset
- Focus on achieving high quality, timely and profitable results in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity / desire for continuous learning
- Project management experience working with engineers and/or scientists would be an asset
- Business development skills and/or willingness to be mentored is an asset
- Familiarity with other possible government incentives or investment outlets is an asset, but not required
