Qualifications To Be Considered an Asset:

  • Ability To Read and Interpret Blueprints
  • Computer Knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Division 8 Hollow Metal Frames and Doors, Commercial Hardware Experience and Wood Doors
  • Division 10 Washroom Partitions and Accessories Hardware Experience

Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for receiving customer quotation requests via face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails, referencing architectural and engineering blueprints, preparing detailed quotes for contractors, lumberyards and end users, following up on those quotes, and closing the sale with either a contract, purchase order or sales order.
  • Preparing lists of materials for shipping and/or work orders for production and as and when required, make recommendations for product purchasing with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Assist with arranging installations with Installation Manager.
  • Prepare customer quotation requests, reading architectural and engineering blueprints as required.
  • Review completed contracts, purchase orders, and sales orders prior to invoicing - ensuring that both corporate and customer expectations and deliverables are met for product, price, service, and timelines ("under promise and over deliver").
  • Assist management in maintaining existing accounts and existing markets and developing new accounts and new markets.
  • Deal with all customer opportunities, issues and problems as these arise ranging from an initial discussion all the way through to a final resolution.
  • Attend divisional sales meetings as these occur and participate in marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • All other duties as assigned from time-to-time.
