A typical day:
  1. Develop electrical schematics/layouts (SLD, power distribution, lighting layouts, panel schedules, load calculations, etc.) based on project deliverables
  2. Prepare cost estimates and various reports based on collected data (power studies, ArcFlash, etc.) for Senior reviewers
  3. Liaise with Clients and Local Distribution Companies
  4. Assist in Contract Administration (prepare Form of Tender documentation, organize specifications, review tender submissions, etc.)
  5. Performs field checks for gathering data, measurements verification and coordination
  6. Perform Construction Administration during construction, systems start-ups and system buyoffs
  7. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Successful candidates will have:
  1. Arc flash studies and reporting
  2. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technologist diploma with electrical focus or equivalent experience
  3. Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in an engineering environment
  4. Knowledge of electrical theory and basic construction and design of electrical distribution systems and various electrical studies
  5. Knowledge of ESA, CSA, and other industry standards
  6. Must be able to perform fieldwork with minimum supervision (manufacturing, industrial, commercial, institutional, and construction environments)
  7. Proficiency in 2D / 3D AutoCAD & Revit, experience with BIM and Inventor are an asset Electrical / Power Distribution Systems
