Festival Audiovisual and Technical Producer

As the Audiovisual (A/V) Technical Producer at ICFF, you will lead technical operations critical to the seamless execution of our festival. Your role extends to orchestrating technical operations for a high-quality cinematic experience, producing our organization's video promotional content, and overseeing matters related to movie screenings, including editing, ingesting, subtitling, and testing video content.

Responsibilities
Lead technical operations vital for the successful execution of the ICFF festival.
Orchestrate technical aspects to ensure a superior cinematic experience.
Produce video promotional content for the organization.
Oversee various tasks related to movie screenings, such as editing, ingesting, subtitling, and testing video content.
Ensure the seamless integration of audiovisual elements throughout the festival.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain smooth operations.
Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance the festival's audiovisual experiences.
Uphold standards of quality and professionalism in all audiovisual productions and operations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to coordinate technical requirements and resolve any challenges.
Serve as the day-of projectionist, ensuring the flawless operation of projection equipment during screenings.
Research and suggest technical materials to be purchased by the festival, ensuring compatibility and suitability for the event's needs.
·      Coordinate with movie distribution companies to ensure seamless delivery of films.

Requirements
Ability to operate video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lights, and auxiliary equipment.
Proficiency in managing both encrypted and non-encrypted DCP content, including KDMs and cinema certificates.
Knowledge of video technologies, encompassing encoding and decoders, playback, video formats, codecs, networking, and routing, is essential for effectively managing and troubleshooting technical aspects of video production and distribution.
Content creation expertise, involving video editing, compositing, and mixing, to craft engaging and visually appealing content that aligns with the organization's objectives and audience preferences.
Proficiency in operating audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and editing software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during the festival period.
Knowledge of industry trends and technologies in audiovisual production and cinema.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership when necessary.

Educations and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience in audiovisual technical production, preferably in the context of film festivals, events, or similar environments.
Demonstrated proficiency in operating a variety of audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and editing software.
Familiarity with industry-standard software for video editing, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effect, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience with audiovisual setup and troubleshooting during live events, ensuring seamless technical execution.
Knowledge of film production processes, including editing, ingesting, subtitling, and quality control.
Understanding of technical requirements for different types of screenings, including digital formats, aspect ratios, and resolution standards.
Basic understanding of Italian preferred; fluency is welcome to effectively communicate with Italian distribution companies for movie delivery and troubleshooting technical issues.
Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred.

Salary: $38.46/hour| 4% vacation pay
Hours of Work: 40 hours/week
